Who we are

Nugu (“we,” “us”) is a small team building a music discovery app for fans and artists. This page is maintained by the Nugu team to explain what we collect when you join the early list and how we use it.

What we collect

When you sign up for the beta list we ask for:

  • Email address (required)
  • First and last name (optional)
  • Phone number (optional)
  • Instagram handle (optional)
  • What you want to do on Nugu — the “I want to” tags (optional)
  • Whether you identify as an artist (optional)

We also receive basic technical information your browser sends automatically, such as the date and time of your request.

How we use it

  • To email you when the beta is ready and share occasional updates about Nugu.
  • To understand who is interested so we can prioritize what to build first.
  • To reach out directly (email, phone, or Instagram) if you opted in and we have something relevant to share.

We do not sell your information. We do not run ads against it.

Who can see it

Signup data is stored in our managed backend (Supabase) and is only accessible to the Nugu team. We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the site, send email, and host the database. They only process your data on our behalf.

How long we keep it

We keep your signup information until you ask us to delete it or until Nugu winds down the beta list, whichever comes first.

Your choices

  • You can ask us to delete your signup at any time.
  • You can ask us what we have on file for you.
  • You can unsubscribe from any email we send.

To make any of these requests, email nugu@nuguapp.com.

Children

Nugu is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we make material changes to this page we'll update the date above and, when it matters, let the list know by email.
